Insistence Boy

Zhen Nam is playing tantrums a lot recently. He always uses his ‘weapon‘ ~ cry lo, what else?….. to threaten us, especially to me! He is smart. He is confident that we will sure give in.

Anyway, I decided not to give him too much this time. Last night, he showed his temper again to me. I went for pee-pee in the washroom, and he wanted to follow. I stopped him by asking his papa to carry him because the floor there is wet. He was crying so loud, and it was already 12 in the midnight. When I finished and hugged him, he kind of pushing me to the washroom again! He insisted me to go pee-pee again and he wanted to stand behind me and watch me!

Yeah, I admit, I tried that once because I was forced to do so because nobody was at home that time. But, not for this time. My boy is like that. Whatever he wants, he’ll cry and by hook or by crook, he wants it immediately. If not, he’ll cry for hours. I didn’t give in last night. I let him cry till he was tired. After that, I hugged and carried him, sang song to him and cradled him to sleep. It took almost an hour. Phew!! Is that the correct way? Any clues and guides from parents out there?
