Happy 50th National Day

Zi Wei went to school in the morning today. All teachers and students gathered together to have ‘Merdeka Celebrations’ in school. Each students will be given a small flag to wave in the air while singing our National anthem.

My patriotic girl loves our national flag so much. See how she shows her love to our country!

She could even design her national ‘hat’ too! How amazing to find such talent from a 4 years 11 months 12 days old girl !! She gives me enjoyment after watching at her acxy face.

Still have an hour to go before we all call out, “MERDEKA! MERDEKA!”

Wishing all Malaysian,

HAPPY 50TH MERDEKA DAY !!!

Blog Break….Away To Bali :)

I’ll be away to Bali tonight! I’m going with my Wei instead of hubby. Hubby ‘let go aeroplane‘ because of his job. My boy seems to be sad because he knows that mummy and jie jie will be away for 4 days. He must be missing me a lot! He just wanted me to carry him when I was back home just now.

Me: Zhen Nam boy boy, you are still small. When you grow up like jie jie, mummy will sure take you for travel together, ok?

Boy: *show a deep thinking face, then nod head* Hmmmng! K…

Mummy feels relief then……

This trip has been dragged since early February this year…..long story to tell. Anyway, there will be a blog break for 4 days here. Don’t miss me ya… but I do hope you all will… ;)

There will be updates about my travel when I’m back next Tuesday. Hang on……

Today’s Crocs

I have been looking for these Crocs around the shopping malls in Ipoh yesterday. Couldn’t find it with cartoons on top in Jusco, Parkson and The Store.I intended to buy purposely because I’ll be going to Bali with my girl this Friday. She needs a slipper. Of course, I won’t buy those original which worth over RM100++ each pair. Children do not know how to take care of their own shoes. So, I just went to EconSave and bought these! Quite nice too, right? Sure the designs are limited for non-original. This is the best that I can find.

I Am A Spiderman!

See how acxy my boy is! This ‘Spiderman’ pyjamas was bought for my girl by MIL 2 years ago. That time my girl was a coward. Dared not put it on. Now, since these children like Spiderman so much, and it reminds me that this pyjamas may fit my boy now. He is so happy with that on!

My boyish Wei is tempted by it. She always wants to be a superhero. That’s what I said boyish. She is sad because she doesn’t have such pyjamas. I consoled her that I may buy a bigger size ‘Spiderman’ pyjamas for her……..do you all think I will? ;)

A Scene That Touches My Feeling

I have some deep feeling which I don’t know how to express. I just feel that being a parent, especially a working mother is not easy nowadays. This happened when one of my little girl’s classmate cried while we were having our music class in Yamaha just now. She played tantrums by just yelling and crying non-stop, not to say that she was really disturbing the class. Her mother was explaining hard and trying to stop her. The child was so stubborn and this irritated her mum. Her mother used to be a calm and tolerate lady, but not today! Without seconds, she was packing her bag and demanded her girl,”GO!”….She pulled her out of the classroom and left.

I can understand the mother’s feeling. After whole day hard work in office, prepared all house chores done, then rushed to take her girl for music class even she was tired, and see what she got! I sometimes face the same problem too. I admit that I’m a quick-tempered woman and I always grumble and scold my girl. I just can’t hold myself. In my centre, I’m always mad with my students. At home, I have to scream at my own children……..very ‘lou hei‘….I think my life will be short, because my cells are killed every now and then. An advice to those newly-wed couples who wish to have a baby, consider twice and do more research on planned parenthood beforehead.

As for those parents who encounter difficulties in parenting, I found something when surfing this related issue. The Parent Survival Game is something like a guide for parents to solve their daily tasks on children. No idea how it works. I have to find out in that site. Do spare some time exploring in it if you are at your road end.

Any Education Investment Plan For Your Child?

I haven’t thought of an education investment plan for my children until yesterday, where I met an agent in Maybank, Greentown. I was hoping to update my saving book of my boy, when she suggested to have a talk with me on children educational plan.

She introduced to me Premier Education Savers (PES), a Whole Life Investment-Linked plan that builds children’s education fund through strategic allocation of the investment. The beauty of it is, allocation rate of this plan begins at 70% of the premium and then reaches 100% in the 3rd year. It offers high allocation and faster returns if compared to other investment funds from other organisation. Of course, it comes with the protection against Death and Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) with an addition of riders.

I kind a like the plan. It shows better earning than just putting money into normal savings, awaiting for those low rates interest! What’s more! PES invests in all the strong shares in local main board like Maybank, Public Bank, Maxis, MISC and Telekom. The agent teased me, “Do you think that these big big organisation will fall? No worry! Our government will always be their backup!” Yes, yes, I agree. I better plan out my financial to get started to ensure my children’s better future.

In Good Terms Already

Do they look alike? This little girl is 5 months older than my son. She is my niece. You must think that she looks pretty and elegant, rite? O…O…No! She is very fierce and if you happen to step on her tail, then pity you lo….you may get hit by her…..hahaha…… :D

At first, my boy was very afraid of her. Whenever my boy took her toy, she’ll scream, yell and cry like thunder. Sometimes she hit my boy too! That’s why my boy dares not walk by himself whenever she is around. Funny ‘couple’ ya…. :)

After all, my boy grows bigger day by day. I guess his gall bladder grows too! LOL !! They are now in good terms already. They play together and my boy follows his cousin’s action all the time. My little niece always calls my boy “BB”…….she always says, “BB leh? BB leh?” haha, she is now a good companion to my son!

My boy seems to be ‘ngong gui gui’ in the two photos above. This is better, more lively but shy to look at my camera……adui….

Daycare Protest

Zi Wei cries a lot these few days. She refuses to go to her daycare center after school. She wants me to pick her up at Mariaville. She wishes to do homework at home, but I know she won’t. Once she is at home, she will stick her butt on the sofa and be a potato couch for the whole evening! This is what I’m worried of. I explain to her that mummy has to work and can’t be able to pick her up at that hour. She shouts and cries, saying that her gong gong can be in-charge of being her driver. I said,”NO! Gong gong has to work too.” Guess what she said? ……. “Tell gong gong not to work anymore!” :p

She seems to be quiet and forgets about it for a few days, but then she started it again last night. She showed her pity face, red-eyed and tears dropping ……..

Wei: Mummy….I don’t want to go to KinderCastle after school. I want you to pick me up…… *sob sob*

Mummy: *getting curious* Please tell me 3 reasons to support your words!

Wei: Vanessa fights with me……*I heard this from her teacher*

Mummy: Just don’t play with her la…..

Wei: ………….. I don’t like KinderCastle…..

Mummy: Why?

Wei: It is not beautiful…..and I can’t play with the slide because I have to do homework.

Mummy: *hug the baby* Well, I’ll talk to your teacher, and ask her to let you join the children during playtime….ok?

Wei: But mummy, I still don’t like to go there……..

Mummy: Huh??  *scratch head*

Wei: Ms Soon (the principal) is not beautiful! I don’t want to go…….

Mummy: ?????

Cheeky little fella! How come she can think of such a reason!  :D

I then try out my little skill here. I gave her a piece of Spiderman sticker, which is her favourite and encouraged her that mummy will give another piece each day she comes back from daycare centre. She smiled at me and nodded. Hopefully this will work.
