Typing Sifu From RE2

Well, a little update on Zi Wei’s progress in Typing Sifu Challenge in Jusco last time…..yea, almost a week ago! Mummy was really busy these days. Shall update a bit on what mummy was busy about these days soon…..

It was so crowded, everywhere can see RE2 T-shirts! LOL Mummy guess that were not all the students from the school. Only the selected students were invited to take part.

Well, Zi Wei didn’t obtain any rewards that day but it was a good experience for her. She was so nervous while waiting for her turn. Could see from her face. ;p

We arrived at about 12pm and just queued for a little while then it was Zi Wei’s turn. The typing just took a minute! Mummy still doesn’t know her result till today. Zi Wei just told me that she has 97% typing accuracy and only managed to type one and a half sentence of words per minute. Mummy guess it was approximately around 10 to 15 words. Well, it’s fine though she didn’t practise much lately.

We waited for about three hours before the result was announced. The cousins were there too. See how the kids spents their ‘waiting’ period! Mummy didn’t join them, but walked away looking for mbt shoes. LOL  No worry, there was still another adult keeping an eye on them.

There were the 1,2,3 winners! The champion scored 134wpm and grabbed RM2k as the prize! Congrat! These students are 14 years old. As for Zi Wei’s group, 6-8 years old, the winner could type 45 wpm, obtained only RM50 as encouragement. Well done, kids!

Sifu Typing In Jaya Jusco Today!

Zi Wei is selected to take part in the “Sifu Typing” contest organised by her computer school, RE2 and Popular Book Store. Mummy doesn’t know quite well how she was selected by her teacher, as she is quite slow when practising at home. Well, no big deal then, just go and gain some experience.

The contest will be carried on from 10:30am to 6pm today. Heard that TV3 station will be there for shooting. If really, really can be the champion, a RM2k would be rewarded! Wow…..well, just dream a bit…. :D

Despite that, mummy still encourages her to practise more often. Whenever mummy nags her to practise, she would say,”Mummy, why are you so greedy for the money huh??”  *slap head* …….  LOL

Does mummy think like that? Of course not!!! Mummy just thinks she should try her best.

Complaints About Home Tutor

Are all kids the same, having the nature of being lazy? Mummy guess so, as adult like me sometimes also feel lazy to do anything! Zi Wei knows how to complain nowadays. Mummy has a young lady as my kids’ tutor at home. Actually we have just started about half a year. Mummy has not seen obvious progress in Zi Wei, but I understand it depends on the student herself.

Well, my girl is very smart. She complains her tutor about anything. She told me that she hates tuition! She even told mummy a secret……she said that she found her tutor sleeping while waiting for Zi Wei to complete her worksheets! Gosh! Is what she said true? Zi Wei told mummy that her tutor doesn’t care how she wrote her Mandarin characters even though she has wrote it in the wrong sequence! Anyway, mummy quite believes what Zi Wei said as she is quite a honest person. Mummy knows well that she would definitely hope to skip the home tuition. So far, mummy didn’t hear from Zhen Nam, maybe he is just to young to complain….  ^.^

This young tutor mummy has is not a school teacher, but mummy is not so sure whether she is really professional in tutoring. Mummy once saw her diary full of schedules which includes tuition time and insurance trainings!! Mummy even saw some auto insurance quotes in her files with customers’ names on them. It shows to mummy that she just gives tuition for ‘MONEY‘, not really into the heart of it….

Mummy is considering getting another home tutor. This time, mummy may choose school teacher for priority.

Vocal Testing

Zi Wei told mummy that her class teacher is looking for three representatives for singing contest. Zi Wei was worried which song to pick and present.

Mummy doesn’t know any suitable Mandarin song for her too. We then went through her school song book and chose the easiest one. Blehh…. ;p Mummy trained her on actions and intonation.

A funny thing happened……after she finished presenting a song, mummy taught her to bow and say ‘thank you’. When she did as mummy told, she tumbled over as she bowed! Haha……how could that be happened? Mummy teased her that she might need Lipofuze for her pumpkin shaped body!

Well, Zi Wei is still too shy to perform with a loud and clear voice. Mummy never push her, but encouraged her if really she is picked, mummy would buy a present of her wish.

Pampered Girl Cried For Home

Mummy eventually managed to talk my Zi Wei into joining the Buddhist holiday camp. She is tough enough to promise mummy that she may only stay two days a night there. Mummy packed enough clothings for the little girl, thinking that she really can do it. Mummy promised her that I’ll go into the temple and see her performance the next evening.

During Zi Wei’s absence at home, mummy felt a little lonely in heart. Zhen Nam was extra obedient without his sister around. At around 10 o’clock at night, mummy received a unfamiliar call. Mummy thought it was a call from some credit card call center services. Oh, it wasn’t! It was Zi Wei’s coach from camp. Zi Wei had been crying for more than two hours. The coach asked mummy to pick Zi Wei up since she was crying non-stop.

Oh, my pampered girl couldn’t cope with the life there. There were more than eighty over children, more than fifteen 6 years old and 7 years old in the camp. Just only Zi Wei and another older girl cried. *sigh* Never mind la, she just didn’t want to sleep there. She was still willing to join the day program the next day.

There was a mini singing performance from the children the next night. Mummy went to see and was touched by the children as they really enjoyed and had fun among the youngsters.

Zi Wei started to cry a little again when night fell. Again, she wanted to go home.

*sigh*

Why couldn’t she open up her heart and joined the group. Is she so special and with unique character? Yes, mummy brought her home, and not going back again the next morning. Mummy was tired already …….

Sleepy Girl

This is exactly how my girl looks like every morning before going to school. She always complains about how sleepy she is in the school till her head drops whenever the teacher is talking. Mummy needs 10 mins to wake her up from bed, drags her to the potty, pulls her to brush teeth, and urges her to finish up her breakfast! Her eyes just can’t open!!

Mummy will sure get angry when seeing her eyes are still closed after cleaning her face. Actually she sleeps around 9:30 – 10pm. She wakes up about 6:45am, almost 8 hours. Yes, it may not be enough for a kid. That’s why mummy requests the kids to sleep at 9pm. What to do?  She doesn’t want to sleep early at night. She is energitic and want to play when in the bedroom. *sigh*  That’s why sometimes mummy says, “Padan muka!” …. in English, “You deserve it!

Out Of Luck!

Zi Wei is really out of luck these days! She is yet to recover from skin discomfort, there was another accident falling on her yesterday! She followed mummy to the lighting shop last evening. Mummy wasn’t so sure how she got this as I was busy picking lightings in the hall. Mummy just knew that Zi Wei was trying to go upstairs alone, and there she was running towards me crying after a while. She showed me her little finger.

A small wood fringe with white paint attached was off from the staircase handle, and it poked into the skin epidermic of Zi Wei’s little finger. Mummy sent her to the clinic, but the doctor dared not force to pull it out as there was no grip at the end. He asked me to take Zi Wei to the emergency wad in hospital.

Mummy let her finish up her dinner then only took her to the hospital. She didn’t manage to eat much as she was scared and worried. She complained of pain too. Why was she so careless? Mummy thought the God must think that mummy was too free!

In the emergency wad, mummy didn’t bother to admire the Linksys router in the office, but concentrating in consoling my girl. There were two doctors attending to my girl. One doctor squeezing and holding Zi Wei’s finger while the other was trying to cut the skin a little and grip the wood fringe out. Me? Of course, hugging my girl tight to calm her down. Mummy’s legs were weak when I saw them having a hard time to get the job done. Mummy was so worried that Zi Wei has to end up in surgery. Mummy felt very much relieved when everything was alright! At first, Zi Wei led a dull face to the hospital. Once she was ‘saved‘, she was happily popping a candy into her mouth with a cunning smile! :D

Mummy Is Vulnerable!

Zi Wei is always clumsy and careless. She could be sometimes ‘harmful‘ to mummy too! What??!! A daughter may threaten a mother’s life! Sounds so serious huh!  :D

No la, the below photos explain everything…..about yesterday….

We both got hurt! This was not the first time either!

Well, Zi Wei was only trying to hug mummy. But then, mummy couldn’t understand how come she bumped her forehead right towards my lips. My teeth poked onto her forehead while mummy bit my own lips at the same time. Promptly, mummy used ice compress on both of our wounds! Luckily our wounds did not swell…..phew!

Is there any barcode scanners which can alert someone when danger comes??!!! Hahaha…..before that, mummy shall paste a barcode on Zi Wei’s body first then!

Can Zi Wei Continue Government Primary School?

Ever since Zi Wei started her life in Primary One this year, her skin flared up and never recover till now. Mummy is more worried when her condition worsens these few days. Skin problem grows from feet up to both her calves and arms. There are more and more red rashes nested her both legs and arms. Mummy almost fainted when I saw little pinkish spots on her face yesterday after school.

Mummy is certain that those are caused by some kind of allergens but just not sure which type. God bless that she can still stand the itchiness and not scratching too much. Mummy quickly took her for blood suction and the rashes seemed to subside a little. Mummy is not sure whether it will strikes again after school today! Mummy just find that each day she comes home from school, the skin will be reddish with rashes.

Mummy wonders whether it is due to the dusty environment, or is it because of any mold and fungal bacteria? Mummy is thinking whether to transfer her to international school………which I really don’t hope so. Mummy feels so frustrated! Who can tell me what to do?!! Yes, I know. Will bring her to seek doctor’s advice once she is back from school today!  :(
