Langkawi Trip vs Crocodile Farm

Next, we proceeded to the Crocodile Farm. I can’t tell the exact location of it. The men just referred to the map and headed towards that place.

It was a hot day. Most of the crocodiles were sleeping either in the pond or on land. Of course, they were in the cage….phew! After a short walk in the farm, we were directed to see crocodile show.

The trainers were really brave. They dared to disturb the crocodiles from their sleep and pulled them up for show.  ;p

This worse still, dared to kiss the crocodile!! I can’t dare to imagine if the crocodile opens its mouth and ….. his whole head is in….. oooohhhh……

This man must have charmed himself into believing that he was on an outdoor chaise lounges in his garden! LOL

It was feeding time! Wow, see so many big crocodiles waiting for food! Yet, they were really trained. They waited for their own turn very disciplinary. Ha!

:D

Before we left Pulau Langkawi, we visited the underwater world. No nice photos taken on the living creatures as my camera is a lousy one.  :(

The kids were busy enjoying their pop corns as they were tired and hungry after walking around. All these little ones slept so soundly once they were in the car while headed home…….to IPOH!

Langkawi Trip vs Oriental Village

*continue of Langkawi story …..*

On the last day in Pulau Langkawi, we had lunch in a place known as Oriental Village. It is located just at the entrance next to Berjaya Resort. There are many attraction spots in every corner of the ‘village‘. There are a lot of shops selling food, souvenirs, toys, books but not sure anyone
sell used books in there.

There is a pond for boats pedaling. Seems fun for family with young kids. Unfortunately it was drizzling and we didn’t want our children to get wet again.

This shop is special. I wonder what they are really selling. These vehicles like antiques to me. Maybe renting out….not sure.

Harr, harr! Zi Wei was attracted by this below. She wanted to try but hubby stopped her, telling her that she was not tall enough yet to grab the handle. Zi Wei was not satisfied and showed her sour face. Mummy has managed to talk her out after some time.

So, guess what was our next destination?

Langkawi Trip vs Mangrove Tour

Hubby strongly recommended us to go on Mangrove Tour. He was very sure that the kids would like it. We had rented a 7 seated car with RM250 a day, and signed up a tour package to Mangrove.

We boarded on these kind of speed boat along the tour.

That day was an adventurous day. It was cloudy, and we were too lucky! It rained heavily after sailing out in the boat within 10minutes! I was not sure I was in the river or sea. Hubby told me that we were  in the border of river and sea. Our clothes were almost all wet with the splashing of rain.

Hauled up to wait till the rain stopped. Luckily I brought along sweaters for the kids. ^.^

Rain stopped! Ready to continue our journey ……

Left~ ‘Den den den den‘ Remember the movie “Anaconda” ??

Right~ The mangrove

Look familiar?? ‘King Kong‘ was looking at us!

Hubby dreams to own one for himself!

Zi Wei has accidentally picked up the mangrove seed. Zhen Nam was angry as he couldn’t hold it.

Went through the cave to admire the stalactite and stalagmite.

After lunch, we proceeded to the fish farm.

The man treated the stingray as his pet, feeding and patting it.

Finally we sailed across the sea, heading to unboard at the other end of land.

See! ‘King Kong‘ has left his shoe here!

Suddenly the boat sped up! I was the only one who was scared like hell as the boat was bumped up and down by the waves. Faster reached the land….I couldn’t breathe!!! Well, my kids were excited and giggling away…..phew!

*some more places to go …. stay tune….:)

Langkawi Trip vs Berjaya Resort

I know it has been long time……but there are just too many photos to share…..but I’ll put most of them in facebook. Just to share the place which we stayed and happy moments of my kids.

We stayed in Berjaya Resort while in Pulau Langkawi during last holiday trip. It is not a hotel, but we stayed in a chalet among ‘forest‘!

Well, inside is same as normal hotel room. Anyway, their lobby is quite beautiful.

Every time we have to come out to the lobby or restaurants in resort from our chalet, we need to take this shuttle. It is free. We could walk but it was dark when at night, and it is actually quite a distance.

Berjaya Resort is quite a special vacation place if for relaxing trip. It suits best for couples on honeymoon trip. The environment is so ‘romantic’……dim and dark outside and inside chalet. I mean night time, of course…..sort of living in a forest.

It would be very cooling with cozy breeze blowing to us if stay in chalets on sea. The stay in these chalets cost about a thousand per night. Considered cheap to western tourists then.

But, if Tsunami attack, oh….oh…..   ;p

A very nice view for photo shot. Too bad I don’t have DSLR.

Dining here for Thai cuisine is  most popular among the residents in Berjaya Resort.

Besides, there is a lovely swimming paradise for both adults and kids.

My girl couldn’t tolerate the temptation and urged us to bring her to the pool. Pity my boy as he was not encouraged to soak in the pool due to his skin problem. Even I knew he wanted to so desperately.

I didn’t bring any swim suits for us. So, hubby bought a piece for Zi Wei and himself each.

Hubby taught some basic skills to Zi Wei. Not pro la…. Ha!

Zhen Nam at first promised that he would just play in the playground nearby. But eventually,

he ended up in the pool! Thanks for his papa who lured him into it. Look, he was just wearing underwear. He was so so excited and happy inside the pool. Unfortunately, I pulled him out after 10 minutes.

Singapore Zoo ~ Day 3

At the entrance, a quick family photo was already taken… with the parrots!

But then, mummy’s boy desperately wanted a photo shot with the ‘lovely’ tiger….. “Mind your hands, kids!

The kids were delighted as there were many kinds of animals in Singapore zoo. The zoo is really ‘big’ and it may take a day for full tour, while enjoying the animal shows. The washrooms in there were somehow specially designed. With the forestry environment and stone sinks, I perhaps, has added on the nature feeling of the zoo.

Photos start off with the White Faced Saki Monkey …….

Famous White Tiger

Kangaroos munching on hay

Hippopotamus swimming in the pond

Elephants leisuring around

When it was time to catch up with the animal’s show, we quickly moved to the area for seats. Luckily the place was shaded as it shone and rained out of expectation.

The English man volunteered to stand out and had fun with the ‘orang asli‘ performers.

Beautiful white peacock, trained to exhibit its beauty in front of the crowd.

Is it a raccoon walking on the rope? Mummy guess so….

This ape was cracking a coconut as demanded by the trainer.

Lazy boy complaining of tire walking!   ^.^

LOL :D

Sentosa Island Tour ~ Day 2

Although six of us had to squeeze in a small room, yet we had a cozy night long. Our driver was very tired after long hours drive. If driving outstation too often like this, extended service plan is definitely important here. Well, we missed the free breakfast as we woke up quite late. Relax…..why in a hurry! That was what mummy always thought.

The first place we went was the underwater world.

My silly boy showed “Gong Xi Gong Xi” posture!  *slap head*

Both my kids dared not touch, not even mummy and papa….. hehe

There were so many living creature in underwater. All of us were amazed to see all kinds of shapes and look and types of sea living creatures.

If mummy and papa know more about these creatures, we could then explain more to the kids……luckily there were some description and history published at the side of each aquarium.

My naughty couldn’t stand still while on the rail through the aquarium…..so playful till his grandma was worried that he might fall down.

Stingray and sharks ~ swimming on top of us!

Help! Let us out! We can’t swim like the fish!!

:D

After the underwater world, we proceeded to some exciting games. We went for 4D movie and cinema blast. Actually we were accompanying Zi Wei on request. Quite fun, and shaky, the seat moved too much till my parents-in-law felt dizzy.  LOL

A treat from their grandma! So action ya….

There are many attractions in Sentosa Island.

Fort Siloso where we could see the history statues of Singapore.

The Merlion, representing the strong Singapore….guess the country’s name after it….if read in Malay…..vice versa….

Tiger Sky Tower ~ Singapore’s tallest viewing platform, standing at 110 metres tall, where you can even see all the way to Indonesia and Malaysia!

Well, a loving photo of Mum & Kids !!!

Singapore For Holiday ~ Day 1

This time, we went to Singapore during the last school term holiday. My parents-in-law joined us on the trip. They hoped to visit their brothers and sisters in Johor and Singapore.

We set off after taking breakfast last Wednesday. Hubby at first thought to start driving down at 5am!! No! Why rush? Mummy wanted to relax and enjoy the family holiday trip. Hubby drove quite fast and we arrived in Singapore within 5 hours! We then arrived in Sentosa Island around 6pm.

Hubby has reserved a room in Hotel Michael under The Resort World. Most of the hotel rooms were fully booked, so we had no choice but to take this expensive one, almost RM600++ per night! All six of us squeezed in for the night.

Hotel Reception Hall

Our hotel room….beautiful toilet….wow….

There were really a lot of pictures to be taken. If mummy were to own more powerful digital cameras, my photos here would be better looking.  ;p

View from the balcony up in the room

Outdoor compound of hotel

What was behind the kids? Many people were already seated for some upcoming event.

It was a Musical Fountain!

This is the new casino, which is under the same roof  of our hotel. I didn’t visit inside but hubby and our parents did.

Singapore Trip During School Holiday

The term school holiday ended so fast. We didn’t go for Branson vacations, but went to Sentosa Island in Singapore and dropped by in Johor for three nights in total.

Mummy went with parents-in-law along with hubby and kids. We visited the underwater world in Sentosa Island. We went to Singapore Zoo the next day. No shopping in Singapore as the price is double high over there. It rained everyday during our stay in Singapore. It was not so convenient to us as kids were along. All in all, the kids had the most fun.

More photos will be published in my next post….  : 0

Day 2: Trip To Hard Rock Hotel, Penang

Story to be continued about us in Hard Rock Hotel in Penang, of course not in st lucia hotels, even though mummy hopes so.

After our free breakfast in the morning, children of the friends’ families insisted on going for a swim again. Mummy didn’t feel like bringing the kids for water play anymore. My kids had been playing long enough day before. It is not advisable for Zhen Nam to soak in chlorine water for long time. So, how did the kids spend their time?

They had a short fun with the babies’ playground.

The men somehow had great time snookering.

Anyway, the kid’s club had a dvd session, and my kids enjoyed the movie while mummy and papa went to pack for check out. Mummy was at first worried that the kids would be bored.

Eh, seemed not! They were surfing net there.

After that, my hub joined and relax with movie and messaging at the same time while waiting for our friends to pack.

After the group photo, we then left for Penang local food like laksa, cendol, fried kuey teow …so forth. Nothing special, but eat and eat.

Mummy appreciates that we got a limited souvenir of this nice photo frame. It is far worth for remembrance.

Day 1: Trip To Hard Rock Hotel, Penang

Regret to tell that this blog is always not up to date. Mummy is always busy, …… *sigh* ….. very bad in time management! This was supposed a trip to newly opened Hard Rock Hotel in Batu Ferringhi Penang last Sunday. We went in friends’ family groups.

The kids’ face blushed….not because they were shy, it was due to my lousy car’s air-cond which broke down while on the highway to Penang!! eeerrrrr ….

Zi Wei and I had high expectation on our room. We still miss the cozy bed in Bali Hard Rock Hotel. Well, from the appearance and the decorations in the hall, it seems a bit down-graded if compared to the one in Bali.

Let’s see the room …..

Not bad…. a different design, and ours was the sea view room!

A beautiful view from the balcony. My kids couldn’t wait to play water.

Do they look weird? Haha! Have you seen anyone wearing gloves and socks at the beach? My children were the ones. They wore like that to protect the germs from sand getting into their cracked wounds on hands and feet…..  :(

My boy did look smart like this!

Surprising, my boy is always reluctant to bathe or touch water at home, but now he just couldn’t stop from having water fun!

Actually there was a small accident during the water play. While having the water slide down the pool, hubby didn’t manage to carry both the kids while they slided down, and naturally he dropped Zi Wei just like that in the water and grabbed Zhen Nam! Gosh! He has forgotten that the water level is above my little girl! She struggled for a minute and luckily the life guard was around. Phew!!! Mummy didn’t want any medical care or disability appeal even though there were. That was a lesson to be learnt and remembered by papa and mama.

On the other hand, hubby and his friend tried out their first experience in parachuting. They seemed to have fun as it was a breezing weather that afternoon. Anyway, they still need to learn the proper way when landing.  ;p

That was just our first day. Another update on our second day then….
