Mum & Kids In Wonderland

The lady owner of my son’s health skin centre is a very rich woman. I visited her house once, and I was amazed to see her big bungalow. She even has a personal indoor swimming pool. I wonder what type of business is her Taiwanese husband running. Besides, she has six dogs in her house too. Some of them were taken out from the Animal Abuse Prevention Centre by her. I can see how loving this woman is.

She treats her dogs as her own children. Can you imagine how lucky these animals are. They are fed by holistic pet food. When the dogs are sick, the lady even gives them Poron. That pill is quite expensive.

He keeps saying, “I like to keep puppy” to me all the while. The funniest thing is, he even asks me to purchase some dog supplies for his toy pet! My God! Mummy has to explain to him that it is just a toy. Hope he understands.

The kids just can’t get their wish, unless they outgrown their eczema problem. *sigh*

Whenever my kids go to sister-in-law’s salon, they will rush to feed the fish and tortoises in the tank. Seeing their enthusiasm, mum-in-law decided to buy them some fish as pet. This was strongly agreed by hubby as he likes fish too.

I doubt whether the fish could live without the oxigen pump. Well, just gave it a try on my filtered health energy water.

The kids were so excited. They couldn’t wait to help in filling up the small fish tank. My boy thought that the pet was mainly for him alone, but mummy told him to share the joy and fun with sister. Mummy made him understand that the fish were for both him and his sis.

With the pebbles as decoration, hopefully the fish felt at home. There were twelve tiny gold fish inside this small tank. A bit too crowded….I guess.
 

Mummy reminded the kids to take good care of the fish, and feed them regularly. Meanwhile, mummy was afraid that the kids fed too hard till the fish died of fullness! LOL

Hubby promised to reward the kids if they could keep the fish alive for a month. Ha! Guess what! The fish however couldn’t even live longer than 24 hours!!! All of the twelve fish were dead by early the next morning. The kids were quite disappointed. Mummy consoled them that we can keep tortoises somehow next time.

My Zi Wei really hopes to keep a dog as her pet. She always pleads mummy to buy a dog, not a puppy for her. I am not sure why she adores big dog. She even makes promises that she would bathe and feed the dog if she has one. How true would it be? Mummy doubt whether I am the one who is responsible for that!

On the other hand, that is a habit too in keeping pet. It cultivates love and care in a young heart like my girl. Unfortunately, mummy can’t fulfil her dream as she has skin allergy towards animals’ fur. Maybe when she grows of the allergy, mummy would consider her request in future.

Actually there is now something good for the pets, such as making a cat condo for our pets. Same for dogs. We can also get a comfy pet bed for our lovely dogs. Is this puppy cute?

My girl told me that her class teacher asked each of the students about their favourite pet. Zi Wei told the teacher that she likes dogs. Yes, mummy can understand what she is trying to convey here. She hopes to keep a dog as a pet for a long time. She even thinks of the nice pet beds for her lovely dog if only she could have one. Pity her. Mummy will wait till the kids grow out of their skin allergies, then I shall consider granting her wish.

I haven’t thought of keeping any birds as pets. I often seen those old men holding bird cages, strolling around the park. Some even like to gather round the table in coffee shop, discussing about their pets. I feel that this is only the hobby for the aged.

I don’t prohibit my children to take up such hobby in birds keeping. Birds are still pets and such hobby will encourage young kids to learn in taking care small animals. This cultivates young hearts to love small animals, precious lives, care of the society and world. If really my kids keep birds as pets, I would never be worried to obtain any bird supplies at the convenience of my own house.
