A Visit To AGAPE Family

Well, most of the people dream of going round the world, while some hope to go on vacations whenever possible. Of course, mummy also hope that one day I could enjoy my Branson vacations with my loved ones. Anyway, there are some unlucky ones who dare not have any dream…..

Mummy has visited AGAPE Family last Saturday together with my kids. It was a charity visit organised by my team coach. Each of us contributed a tin of Herbalife cell nutrition food for the boys. Hope that they can get full daily nutrients like we do.

It is just an ordinary house with no signboard. There are about 18 boys and a girl staying with a couple who carry the responsibility in building good attitude and characteristic among these problem teenagers.  These young boys were once drug addicts, thieves, minor criminals ….etc. Some with parents but some without. Mummy was amazed to see these youngsters becoming useful and well developed both physically and mentally now after guided by the couple. It is not an easy task though, in handling mostly boys!

The teenagers are home schooling and when time comes, they even further their studies in colleges and local universities. Their academic is not bad too. Real salute to the couple!

These youngsters went to church and they learn music too.

We enjoyed entertainment by the boys. Look at my team leader, she is so in it!  LOL

Suddenly it rained a little, and these boys are so disciplined. They know their duties well and “pomp, pomp, pomp” all ran to keep their clothes in under the shed. It happened so fast, till mummy didn’t manage to capture the exact scene.

These boys are just so much better than my kids. Yes, it is my fault. Mummy pampered them too much. Mummy must train them to be more independent! Sigh…..

Opening Of Old Folks Home

Early morning last Sunday, hubby suddenly woke me up urging me to get ready the kids and myself to attend the opening ceremony of an old folks home.

Hubby was actually being invited by his holy friend who has donated some amount to the old folks home. There was prayers by the monks. Therefore, hubby hoped to bring the kids along for the prayers, hoping that it might help Zhen Nam.

The opening ceremony started with an opening speech by the chairman and then followed by drums performance by students from Shen Jai High School. Well, both my kids were not interested nor excited at all. They were paying full attention on their gameboy only.

Our Minister of Transportation was welcomed to convey a speech and he was so generous as he has donated out RM80k to the old folks home. If my gold coins are still valuable, I might donate as well.

We didn’t stay for long. My two pampered kids were crying and complaining that they were hot and wanted to leave. No choice! Hubby said they don’t have the fate with God! LOL

Charity Activity For Kiwanis Centre

Jusco entrance hall there used to be loaded with all kinds of booths, even Ferrari parts had been exhibited there long time ago. It was different when mummy and Zi Wei visited Jusco last weekend.

We saw a group of red T-shirts men and women dancing lively in the hall. There were a few dancing on the stage as well. By further observing, mummy knew that it was a charity activity for Kiwanis centre in helping out the syndrome down children. Anyone who bought a red T could dance with the crowd. Unfortunately mummy doesn’t know any dance like line dance and latin. :(

Mummy has donated RM5 for a balloon and another RM10 for Zi Wei’s participation in sand art.

It was her first time playing with it. She was quite awkward in putting up colours for her picture. Anyway, she did learn her mistakes from her experience and mummy is sure she can do better next time ya.

Fun Fair At Yuk Choy Secondary School

Since hubby has bought RM20 coupons for the charity fun fair at Yuk Choy Secondary School, we decided to bring the kids for a walk there on Sunday. We were a bit too late about 1:30pm when arriving at the place. Not many events were on at that time already. There were some game stalls along the classrooms, but just couldn’t find much food stalls.

Hubby and the kids had some fun on the mini games, such as throwing rubber bands, tossing dusters on hanging cans, spinning board and also fish catching.

We were not able to finish up the coupons as it was heavy rain within half an hour. With the only points we collected from the games, we headed to the gift redemption room. Haha! Just able to exchange the points for a pair of hair pins! Not quite a fancy type…..my Zi Wei said sadly, “Mummy, I don’t like the present!” What to do? We collected only 100 points.

Well, our purpose was just to have a short outing there since it was for charity while visiting the school.

This may be the school of my kids when they go for secondary level.

Car Angel

I came across a fortune teller today. She was an old woman selling ointment but giving fortune telling service for free to her customers. I bought two bottles from her and she provided me some advice. She advised me to contribute more to the needy to make good deeds.

I really hope to join some of the non-profit companies like Car Angel that uses cars and other donations to make videos for kids and teens. Some even raise money from the donate car to make the videos. Children and teens should be thankful to have such companies organised.

This is one of the 2.4 million videos given away by Car Angel. Check it out.

An Evening Of Beautiful Ballet Stories ~ PreShow

I bought these two tickets for the coming Sunday ballet show in State Banquet Hall, Ipoh. This is a charity event organised by the Good Shepherd Sisters and in conjunction of City Ballet 25th anniversary.

That night, there will be dances to relate three different stories by the ballerinas……The Story of Swan Lake, Aladdin and The Magic Lamp and The Nutcracker! I insist to take my Zi Wei along because I hope to expose her to more about ballet.

Tickets range from RM50, RM80 and RM120. I supposed to buy RM80, but the seats are far from the stage. I worry that my girl can’t see it, so I bought the highest price tickets.  *heartache*  Hopefully she will enjoy herself that night to make sure it’s worth.

There are not much seats left by now. Anyway, if anyone who is still interested to get tickets today, you can call Patricia at 012-5190147 for reservations.
